Notes - George Williams and his extended family moved from Harrison County, Virginia (now West Virginia) to Ohio. In the early 1840's the family decided to move south (partly because of the cold weather). All of George's children moved south with him except for Jacob, who decided to stay in Ohio, and John David, who was already living in the Hunt County, Tx area. According to family tradition, one daughter, Mary Ann, died during the move to Texas. No one knows where her grave is located since it is most likely beside a trail. I will add more information later on why the family believes she existed even though there is no 'hard core' proof that she did.
